글리팝 소개

글리팝(GlyPop)은 프로필·닉네임·캡션에 쓸 글씨를 꾸며서 한 번에 복사하는 작은 웹 도구입니다. 이름은 글자(glyph)와 팝(pop)을 붙여 지었습니다.

무엇을 하는 도구인가

입력칸에 문장을 적으면 화면 안에서 바로 바뀌고, 카드의 복사 버튼을 누르면 클립보드에 들어갑니다. 다섯 가지 화면이 있습니다.

영문 꾸미기 — 영문 알파벳과 숫자를 유니코드 스타일 24종으로 바꿉니다.
장식 — 글자는 그대로 두고 줄마다 앞뒤를 기호로 감쌉니다. 한글 문장에 그대로 씁니다.
기호 모음 — 직접 골라 분류한 기본 유니코드 기호를 이름으로 찾아 눌러서 복사합니다.
표정 만들기 — 외곽·눈·입을 골라 문자 표정을 조합합니다.
텍스트 도구 — 글자수·줄 수를 세고 빈 줄을 정리합니다.

바꾸는 방식과 그 한계는 사용 가이드에 자세히 적어 두었습니다. 요약하면 폰트를 설치하는 것이 아니라 유니코드 문자 자체를 바꾸는 방식이고, 그래서 기기에 따라 네모(□)로 보일 수 있습니다.

브라우저 안에서만 동작한다는 뜻

변환·복사·글자수 계산은 전부 이 페이지를 연 브라우저 안에서 일어납니다. 입력한 문장을 서버로 보내지 않고, 주소창에도 남기지 않습니다. 주소창에 남는 값은 언어(lang)와 지금 보고 있는 도구(tool) 두 가지뿐입니다.

계정·로그인·회원가입이 없습니다.
입력한 문장을 저장하는 기능이 없습니다. 새로고침하면 사라집니다.
즐겨찾기는 고른 스타일·기호의 이름만 이 브라우저에 저장합니다(문장은 저장하지 않습니다).
기호 검색어는 메모리에만 있다가 화면을 떠나면 사라집니다.

어떻게 만들었나

외부 라이브러리 없이 HTML·CSS·자바스크립트만 사용한 정적 사이트입니다. 빌드 단계가 없고, 변환 과정에서 입력한 내용을 서버로 보내지 않습니다(페이지에 필요한 파일은 이 사이트의 도메인에서 내려받습니다). 기호 목록과 스타일 분류는 다른 사이트의 자료를 가져오지 않고 직접 정하고 이름을 붙였습니다.

관계 없음

글리팝은 독립적으로 운영되는 도구입니다. 인스타그램, 메타, 그 밖에 이 사이트에서 이름을 언급한 어떤 서비스와도 제휴·후원·제작 관계가 없습니다. 그 이름들은 만든 글씨를 어디에 붙여넣는지 설명하기 위해 쓴 것입니다. 각 상표는 해당 소유자의 것입니다. 유니코드(Unicode)는 문자 표준이고, 이를 관리하는 유니코드 컨소시엄(Unicode Consortium)은 이 사이트와 관계가 없는 별개의 단체입니다.

About GlyPop

GlyPop is a small web tool for decorating short text - a profile bio, a nickname, a caption - and copying it in one tap. The name puts together glyph and pop.

What it does

Type a line, watch it convert on the spot, press Copy on the card you want. There are five screens:

Fancy text - Latin letters and digits in 24 Unicode styles.
Decorations - wraps each line in symbols and leaves the letters alone, so it works with Korean and any other script.
Symbols - a hand-picked, hand-named set of basic Unicode symbols you can search and tap to copy.
Face builder - combine an outline, a pair of eyes and a mouth.
Text tools - character and line counts, blank-line cleanup.

How the conversion works, and where it stops working, is written out in the guide. The short version: this is not a font you install, it swaps in different Unicode characters, which is also why some devices show a box (□) instead.

What "runs in your browser" means here

Converting, copying and counting all happen in the browser that opened this page. Your text is not sent to a server and is not put in the address bar. The only values the address bar carries are the language (lang) and the tool you are on (tool).

No accounts, no sign-in, no registration.
Nothing saves what you type. A reload clears it.
Favorites store only the names of the styles and symbols you picked, on this device - never your text.
The symbol search box lives in memory and is gone when you leave the page.

How it is built

A static site of plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no third-party libraries and no build step. Converting your text sends nothing to a server (the files the page needs are fetched from this site's own domain as usual). The symbol list and the style grouping were chosen and named here rather than taken from anyone else's catalogue.

GlyPop is an independently operated tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta or any other service named on this site; those names appear only to explain where you might paste the text you make. All trademarks belong to their owners. Unicode is a character encoding standard, and the Unicode Consortium that maintains it is a separate organization with no connection to this site.
